Instructions
Creating the Sunflower Center
- Start with the brown or tan yarn to create the center of your sunflower.
- Ch 2.
- 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook. (6 sc)
- 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)
- *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc. Rep from * around. (18 sc)
- 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, *1 sc in each of next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc* 5 times, 1 sc in next sc (24 sc)
- *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 3 sc. Rep from * around. (30 sc)
- 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, *1 sc in each of next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc* 5 times, 1 sc in next 2 sc (36 sc)
- Join with a slip stitch and fasten off.
Creating the Bobble Stitch Round
- Switch to dark yellow yarn.
- 1 sc in first sc, *bo in the next st, 1 ch, 1 sc in next sc, skip next sc. Rep from * around.
- End with a slip stitch in top of 1st sc. Fasten off.
Crafting the Sunflower Petals
- Now comes the fun part – adding those cheery yellow petals!
- Attach bright yellow yarn to the loop between two bobbles.
- *Ch 3 (considered as 1st dc), 1 tr in the same stitch, 3 ch, sl st in the third ch from the hook, 1 tr in the same stitch, 1 dc on the same stitch. Rep from * around.
- End with a slip stitch in middle of 1st 3 ch. Fasten off.
